Running Wolf was one of those stories that grabbed my attention from the start and refused to let it go until the end. I was very moved by the chemistry and romance between the main characters and was very happy to see that for once, it wasn't the female lead who had to uproot her life to accommodate the man she loves.
I'd highly recommend this engaging story to anyone looking for a romance with plenty of twists to offer.

This was a very good book. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I didn't want to put it down. I wish it had a sequel to it, but it don't. Buy the book, I know you will enjoy it every bit as much as I did.
This is a story about how love can conquer hatred and how women can show men the way beyond hatred and prejudice . It is something we can all remember.

What an excellent story, I loved it! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story was well-written. It grabbed my interest and held me captive until the very end. The characters were well-developed and the hero and heroine were very likeable. I especially liked Snow Raven; she was brave, resourceful and compassionate--a true warrior in her own right. Running Wolf was a perfect match for her, as he was not only a formidable Sioux War Chief when he needed to be, but he was kind, compassionate, and very protective of his Crow captive Snow Raven. I loved the twist at the end that gave the story a satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend reading this book.
Surprisingly well-written for being a "romance." This was recommended to me by a friend, and although the steamy cover would make you think it's a romp, it's not It's a blend of several forbidden-love themes, with shades of Romeo & Juliet, Tristan & Isolde, and even contains the plot-twist you find in Dicken's "Tale of Two Cities". I enjoyed the care the author took with the native cultures, and the way she used them to propel the political intrigues and hurdles this couple-from-warring-tribes faces. Surprisingly, it's also light on sex (and even then, not highly descriptive--wouldn't make you blush to loan it to a friend), but is instead emotionally propelled, which makes it rather "grown-up" in my estimation, rather than being merely "adult." Enjoyed it, and I would recommend it as a light summer read.
