Chose this because beautiful Black man beard win on the cover. But the story never describes Bas in any real detail...just that he's big. That was disappointing, as was a novella standalone tied to two series, but with such easy references to the longstanding world, it was really hard to follow for setting, character connections, etc. My first read from these authors, so it was an overall letdown.
This is Meadow and Bas’ story, and I love Meadow from the outset. Who hasn’t gotten into a situation where being a bit more honest earlier on would have saved the day? So this is that kind of story. One about two confident in some ways people, but not sure enough of themselves to make love easy. Because of this wonderful mixture, we get two worthy characters, who are strong, independent, thoughtful, the kind of people we’d like to meet IRL.

We also get anticipation, while they try to work through their feelings… to say all the things that need to be said. That they want and need, and what they want to give and receive is of course the best of the frisky beavers. Speaking of which, it’s always good to catch up with the rest of the gang. And yes, I will be rereading Prime Minister thank you very much!

This is the second book I’ve read in the Cards of Love series, both were outstanding, from my favorite authors. I highly recommend this book.

Well different for same theme ,enjoy the story between Bas and Meadow romantic and sweet. A Halloween party makes all their dark dreams come true. Recommended
