There is so much stuff that was going on in the beginning that once the story gets going, you never hear about again.
Jade and Jax fall in love; which is on Jax’s ultimate do not do list, so he sets out to sea and leave Jade to cry over him.

Jade being a princess; is forced to do princess-y things like marry a man she doesn’t love. Long story short, she runs away and coincidentally lands on Jax’s ship and they once again fall in love..

Damned is an entertaining read that held my interest but I do not know why it is classified as erotica when the sex scenes are pretty mediocre. Can’t wait to finish this series.

I read this in 2 sittings and I am so sad it's done! Bec has once again written characters you fall madly in love with! Had and Jade just tear your heart out, and warm it at the same time! And Danny, the love scenes are scorching! But the work in the story, not just, shag here, shag there. Amazing! CANNOT wait to start book 2!!
WOW!!! just WOW!!! I loved it! I am a huge fan!! I can honestly say I have never read something like this in my life. There is no one word in the English language to describe how amazing the book truly is. I laughed, cried and at some points I was so pissed off I didn't think I could finish it. this book was so refreshingly new and different its a crime against humanity not to read it. I was already I huge fan after reading Phoenix rockstar books and witness protection series! You are one talented lady Bec!!!!
I love the idea of modern day pirates. A pirate and a princess, even better. Jack was crude but completely upfront from the start. Still you could see he had a heart of gold beneath his rough exterior. Jade, the princess who wanted to be anything but, was naturally drawn to him. It must be nice having everything money can buy, but without freedom & choice, its not as great.
The heroine in this novel is very young with all of the annoying whining, drama and angst you expect in a YA novel. She's immature without any redeeming qualities I can tell except for some paranormal special abilities. The hero is not alpha and is pretty much a jerk/man-whore. I really couldn't get into the story and pretty much skimmed the book after the first half. There's rape and sex with others for both main characters. Don't get me wrong, I've read and enjoyed novels with rape but for some reason, this story really grated and was not enjoyable. I would not recommend this book.
I came across this book by chance. It's the kind of book that once you start to read it you have to keep turning the pages because first of all you want to find out as much about the characters as possible, and then you just have to find out what happens to them because it's so interesting.
The plot of this erotic fantasy romance is exceptionally creative and unusual. I loved the way modern day seemed to blend seamlessly with obvious fantasy to produce a book that has all the elements of a historical pirate adventure, and a contemporary erotic romance.
The characters are complex and as a reader you can't help wondering about the history of the obviously damaged Jax, and the strangely and persistently naïve Jade.
There are elements of gods and heroes in this book that echo the kinds of trials, sadness, and joy found in myth and legend. I was left wanting more at the end of the book and so I have already bought the second one in the series.
I came across this series and was so intrigued and although some reviews were sketchy, I still wanted to give it a try. Oh Lord- am I glad I did!!! )

This book (despite needing a GOOD editor to correct the grammatical and spelling errors) is AWESOME!! If you can get past those, you will really enjoy it- it’s one crazy ride!!!

The H/h are beautiful, sexy, CRAZY, damaged, spoiled, CRAZY, obsessive, possessive, CRAZY, stubborn and did I mention CRAZY??? ) They fight, they make up, they split up, they can't stay away from each other. It's great!!

The sex is so damn hot and honestly, with all the other drama and cast of characters (that are all nuts as well)- it still feels real! I laughed and cried and loved every minute.

This book does end in a cliffhanger, so be prepared with book 2. And I also hear book 2 ends in a cliffhanger, so I’ve already got book 3 downloaded and ready to go as well!
This book completely took me by surprise. I only purchased it because I had read tons of great reviews and the price was only $.99. I mean who could beat that. But pirates? Really? YES!!! Give me some freaking pirates... as long as they look like Jax. OMG!!! (Fanning myself) He is the alpha-male who puts all others to shame with that body, and those eyes and dimples.

Okay, so Damed is the first book in a three book series. I gobbled this one up in one night. My mistake was starting to read this on a work night, because let me tell you, I was dead on my feet at work, but oh was it worth it. I love how Jax put Jade in her place numerous of times. She tended to get on my nerves with her childish behavior. I had to keep telling myself the kind of life she was used to which seemed to help my outlook on her. And Jax crew. You just fall in love with them every time their near. The love and loyalty they have for their friends is awesome.
